Corporate events Dubai: gala dinners, launches and luxury events for your Maison
Luxury by the Lake produces the corporate events Dubai teams of watch and jewellery Maisons hold for clients, press and staff: gala dinners, product launches, incentives and seminars. Your pieces and sets leave from our Geneva warehouses with Pelichet Expositions, and the project follows the same four steps and the same single point of contact as in Geneva and Paris.

Luxury events Dubai: the watch and jewellery calendar
Dubai Watch Week brings together collectors, retailers and Maisons every two years, in November. Around the event, Maisons build their own programme: dinners for collectors, private viewings, presentations to the press. We produce those for you, with the set, the light and the welcome prepared in Geneva and installed in Dubai.
The Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) offers an evening between the towers, with galleries, courtyards and restaurants that suit a dinner for a few dozen clients. Further out, the galleries of Alserkal Avenue in Al Quoz suit a presentation of savoir-faire among contemporary art, and Dubai Design District (d3) gathers design studios and designers.
The season shapes the programme. From November to March, evenings outdoors are pleasant, on a terrace, a beach or in the desert; from June to September, events move indoors, and in July and August the heat often passes 40 °C. Ramadan moves about ten days earlier each year, and during that month dinners start after sunset, often around an iftar.
Gala dinner Dubai: venues for a seated evening
A gala dinner in Dubai can take several settings.
- The ballrooms and beach terraces of the hotels on Jumeirah and Palm Jumeirah.
- Dubai Opera in Downtown, whose auditorium converts to a flat floor for a seated dinner after a performance.
- The galleries of Alserkal Avenue, for a dinner within an exhibition.
- A desert camp outside the city, for a winter evening under the stars.
You choose the setting with us after a site visit. We then draw the seating plan with you, design the set and the light, coordinate the kitchen and the service, and run the evening until the last guest has left. Our gala dinner planner page details each part of the evening.
Corporate event management Dubai: launches, incentives, seminars
For a product launch in Dubai, we run a press preview in a hotel salon or a gallery by day and a client dinner at night, with display cases and lighting built for the pieces. A launch that started at Watches and Wonders in Geneva can arrive in Dubai with the same set, adapted to the venue. The steps are on our product launch event page.
For teams and partners, a few days in Dubai combine the desert, the sea and the city's galleries; our incentive travel page covers reward trips. For leadership seminars and company evenings in a hotel or a convention venue, see our corporate event production studio page.
Events in Dubai need permits from the city's authorities and, depending on the programme, from the venue. We prepare and file them during the preparation phase, with local suppliers chosen for the project and approved by you.
From Geneva to Dubai: pieces, sets and crews
Dubai lies about six and a half hours' flight from Geneva, three hours ahead of Swiss time in winter and two in summer. Pelichet Expositions packs and ships your pieces, sets and display cases from Geneva, with a joint inventory at departure and on arrival and supervision throughout. We prepare the customs formalities for temporary import before departure. Sets designed for several lives return to Geneva after the event and wait in storage for the next season.
Event planners in Dubai, one voice from brief to wrap-up
- Brief: we listen, in Geneva, in Paris or by video, and send back our understanding of the project in writing.
- Feasibility and costing: site visit in Dubai, technical plan, itemised budget including transport, customs and crew travel.
- Preparation and delivery: suppliers, permits, build, show control.
- Wrap-up: budget closed, feedback gathered, archives handed to the Maison.
A week of launch events calls for the full team, each trade with its own lead and one voice for the Maison; a dinner for a few dozen guests, for a single lead who holds project, production and technical. We apply the principles of ISO 20121 on each project: sets with several lives, local suppliers for what can be sourced on site, and a CSR section in the estimate.
One voice for the Maison, from the brief in Geneva to the last car in Dubai.
Confidentiality
We sign your non-disclosure agreement before the project leaves your offices, and the same rules travel with it to Dubai: images of a build or an event leave our hands only with your written consent, and the Maison decides in writing what may be shown or said.
Frequently asked questions
Do you work as a luxury event planner in Dubai for Maisons based in Europe?
Yes. We produce gala dinners, launches, client evenings, incentives and seminars in Dubai for Maisons whose teams sit in Switzerland, France or elsewhere. Your project keeps one point of contact from the brief to the wrap-up, and your pieces and sets leave from Geneva with Pelichet Expositions.
Which months suit an outdoor gala dinner in Dubai?
From November to March, when evenings outdoors are pleasant on a terrace, a beach or in the desert. From June to September, we plan the evening indoors.
Can you produce our programme around Dubai Watch Week?
Yes: dinners for collectors, private viewings, press presentations and client evenings around the event. Venues and hotels book up early for that week, so we start scouting with you as soon as the dates are announced.
Can you ship our pieces and display cases from Geneva?
Yes. Pelichet Expositions packs and ships them from Geneva, under supervision and with joint inventories. We prepare the temporary import papers before the pieces leave, and the sets come back to storage in Geneva after the event.
Do events in Dubai need permits?
Yes. The city's authorities issue them, and some venues add their own approvals. We file everything during preparation, and the schedule we send you shows each approval with its date.
How does Ramadan change the planning?
During Ramadan, daytime events stay modest and dinners start after sunset, often around an iftar. Some Maisons use the month to host clients at an iftar dinner. Since the dates move each year, we check them with you before fixing the programme.
How do you present the budget for an event in Dubai?
Line by line, including transport from Geneva, customs, insurance and crew travel. You decide where the money goes, and we tell you what each change costs before you approve it.
