Pelichet Expositions in Geneva, production in Paris

Pelichet is a Geneva firm founded in 1891, which handled the move of the League of Nations in 1936. Pelichet Expositions, heir to the Pelichet know-how, has been at work for close to twenty years: it transports, stores and installs sets, display cases and sensitive pieces. Through its subsidiary ExpoLog Geneva, it is the official logistics provider of Palexpo, where Watches and Wonders is held. Our production team works from Paris.

Together, they cover logistics in Geneva and production in Paris. Our event production studio serving the Maisons page gives the formats and cities at a glance.

Three ways in, two set-ups

The Maison chooses one of three entry points for each project.

  • Executive production, our usual way in: your studios design, and we produce, from the feasibility study to the wrap-up.
  • The full project, creative included: art directors, scenographers and set dressers from our network, under a single project lead.
  • Logistics and storage: pieces, sets and display cases kept in Geneva between seasons, and crews on tour, with Pelichet Expositions.

We then size the team to the project. In the full set-up, project, creative, production and operations each have their own lead, with one voice for the Maison. In the compact set-up, one person holds project, production and technical, with quicker decisions and more of the budget on the object and the guest.

Executive production is our way in: you judge us on the work, and trust follows from there.

Four steps, from brief to wrap-up

  1. Brief: we listen, make sure we have understood, and play the project back to you.
  2. Feasibility and costing: site visit, technical plan, itemised budget.
  3. Preparation and delivery: suppliers, permits, build, show control.
  4. Wrap-up: budget closed, feedback gathered, archives handed back to the Maison.

The right signals at the right moment, while there is still room to decide.

What we do for the Maisons

  • Steering: project and production management, costing and budget control, coordination of all suppliers.
  • Designing and building: art direction and scenography where the project calls for them; sound, light, video and structures; photography and filming; sets, furniture and audiovisual integration; coordination of joiners, metalworkers and lighting designers.
  • Hosting and moving: guests and protocol; transport and storage of pieces and sets by Pelichet Expositions; crews on tour; permits, security and insurance.

Each format has its own page: product launch event, gala dinner planner, corporate event production studio for seminars, and incentive travel for reward trips, for which our licensed travel partner books transport and accommodation under our coordination.

Where we work

We work from Geneva and Paris, in Dubai, in Gstaad, St Moritz and Crans-Montana in winter, and wherever the Maison takes us. Each city page gives its venues and formats: luxury event planner Geneva, event production studio in Paris and corporate events Dubai.

Confidentiality: the Maison decides what is said

We sign a non-disclosure agreement before anyone on our side sees the project, and images of a build or an event leave our hands only with your written consent. At the end of the mission, we return the documents to you or destroy them.

The work we produce for a Maison belongs to the Maison, and our references give a sector, a city, a format and a guest count, with the Maison unnamed and no public portfolio. If a Maison agrees to a project being mentioned, it sets the scope and the words. Our privacy policy covers the personal data you send through this website.

Responsibility, from the first drawing

We apply the principles of ISO 20121 from the design, costing and planning stage, and hold to five commitments on each project.

  • Design for reuse: hire before building, and give sets several lives in storage with Pelichet Expositions.
  • Move less, and better: artisans from Geneva and French-speaking Switzerland first, the train for crews, the plane as a last resort.
  • Energy, waste and the table: LED and grid power, sorting on site, materials, furniture and meals given away.
  • The crews: realistic build times, stable local teams, fair working conditions.
  • Measure and report: a CSR section in each estimate, and a wrap-up sheet set against the Maison's own indicators.

Frequently asked questions

Who is Luxury by the Lake, and who runs our project day to day?

A joint venture of Pelichet Expositions in Geneva and a production team based in Paris. One project lead runs your project from brief to wrap-up and stays your single point of contact.

Can you take on the creative as well?

Yes, when the Maison wishes. Art directors, scenographers and set dressers from our network then work under one project lead who reports to you.

How do you keep a project confidential?

With a non-disclosure agreement signed before anyone on our side sees the project, and documents returned or destroyed at the end.

Can you store our sets and pieces between events?

Yes, in Geneva: Pelichet Expositions keeps them between seasons, under supervision and in locked premises, ready for the next opening or the next stop of a tour.

How do we start working together?

With a first project, at the scale you judge right. You send a brief, we come back with our questions, visit the venue with you and prepare an itemised budget.
