Executive retreat: a few days away with the leadership

An executive retreat takes the leadership out of the office for two or three days, somewhere calm and comfortable. In Geneva, the palace hotels on the quays host seminars in town. In winter, a hotel in Gstaad, St Moritz or Crans-Montana gives the same group mornings of work and afternoons on the mountain.

We find the venue, reserve it in full when the group needs privacy, and organise the rooms, the transfers and the meals around your agenda. The working sessions get the light, the sound and the screens they need, set up the evening before and tested with your facilitator. On site, our team runs the logistics and one person answers to you.

Discussions at a retreat stay private. We sign a non-disclosure agreement before anyone on our side sees the agenda or the list of participants, and images leave our hands only with your written consent.

Leadership seminars and conferences: the venues

For a seminar of a few dozen people, a palace or a lakeside hotel offers plenary rooms, break-out rooms and dining on site. For a larger audience, we look to the conference centres: the CICG in Geneva, the Palais Brongniart in Paris, or a hotel convention hall in Dubai.

In each case, we design the plenary set with your communications team: stage, lectern, screens, sound, lighting for cameras if you film or stream the sessions. Our trades cover structures, audiovisual integration, photography and filming. We check the venue's technical rules during the site visit and build within them.

The city pages give more detail on venues: luxury event planner Geneva, event production studio in Paris and corporate events Dubai.

Company evenings and anniversaries

A Maison marks its anniversaries, thanks its teams at the end of a season and gathers its partners before a launch. For those evenings, we produce the dinner or the party, the set, the light and the sound, a performance if you wish, and the welcome of each guest. Our gala dinner planner page describes a seated dinner for clients and partners.

A seminar can also close a launch, with the leadership and the sales teams briefed on the morning after the press preview; our product launch event page shows how the two fit together.

What we handle, from agenda to wrap-up

  • Venue: search, site visit, negotiation, contract.
  • Programme logistics: plenary and break-out rooms, timing, catering for breaks and meals.
  • Technology: sound, light, video, screens, recording and streaming if needed.
  • Accommodation and transport: hotels, train first, transfers, flights when the distance requires them.
  • Evenings and activities, timed around the working sessions.
  • Guests: invitations, registrations, badges, welcome, protocol.

A first project, on the scale you think right, and then judge us on the work.

Our standards, from brief to debrief

  1. Brief: agenda, participants, dates, city. We send back our understanding in writing.
  2. Feasibility and costing: site visits, technical plan, itemised budget with the cost per participant.
  3. Preparation and delivery: bookings, suppliers, permits, build, rehearsal with your speakers, show control.
  4. Wrap-up: budget closed, feedback gathered, archives handed to the Maison.

For a seminar of a few dozen people, a single lead holds project, production and technical: fewer roles, quicker decisions, and more of the budget on the participants. For a large conference, a full team works for you, each part with its lead and one voice for the Maison. We apply the principles of ISO 20121: the train for participants and crews wherever possible, local suppliers, and a CSR section in each estimate.

Frequently asked questions

How does a seminar differ from an incentive trip?

A seminar brings people together to work, with plenary sessions, workshops and a clear agenda. An incentive trip rewards a group, with a programme built for pleasure. We organise both; reward trips are on our incentive travel page.

Where can we hold a leadership seminar in Switzerland?

In Geneva, in a palace hotel on the quays, or at the CICG for a larger audience; in winter, in a hotel in Gstaad, St Moritz or Crans-Montana. We shortlist two or three for your group and your agenda.

Can you handle the plenary technology?

Yes. We design and run the stage, screens, sound and lighting, and the recording or streaming of the sessions if you need it. We install the evening before, test with your speakers and run the show on the day.

How long does an executive retreat last?

Two or three days, for the leadership of a Maison, somewhere quiet, to work on strategy, a reorganisation or the next season. We find the venue, reserve it in full when needed, and organise the meeting rooms, the meals, the transfers and an activity or two between sessions.

How far ahead should we plan a seminar?

As soon as you know the dates and the size of the group. Palace hotels and conference centres fill early during Watches and Wonders week in Geneva and the busiest weeks of the Paris calendar. We visit the shortlisted venues with you, then send a technical plan and an itemised budget.

How is a seminar budget presented?

Line by line, with the cost per participant: venue, rooms, technology, accommodation, transport, meals, evenings, staff. You approve each line, and we send an updated total with each change to the agenda.
