Luxury event planner Geneva: your launches, dinners and watch week

Let's begin with a brief

Luxury by the Lake is a luxury event planner Geneva Maisons can brief for launches, client dinners and the week of Watches and Wonders. Our Geneva roots are Pelichet Expositions, heir to the know-how of Pelichet, a Maison founded here in 1891: its crews prepare your pieces and sets in its Geneva warehouses before they leave for Palexpo, a hotel ballroom or a lakeside garden.

Event production studio in Geneva, set to the watch calendar

Watches and Wonders takes over Palexpo each spring, and the 2027 edition runs from 5 to 11 April. The same week, Maisons and independent brands hold presentations, dinners and exhibitions in hotels and venues across the city. In the autumn, the watch world meets again for the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève, whose 2026 ceremony takes place on 7 November at the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices.

Pelichet handled the move of the League of Nations in 1936, and Pelichet Expositions has been at work for close to twenty years. Its subsidiary ExpoLog Geneva is the official and exclusive logistics provider of Palexpo, where Watches and Wonders is held. For a Maison exhibiting at Palexpo, we produce stands, evenings, hospitality, and press and client set-ups. For a Maison presenting in town, we find the venue, build the set and look after guests between the fair and the city. Hotel rooms and venues go fast that week.

In Geneva, the formats Maisons call on us for

  • Launches of a watch or a collection, with a press preview in the morning and a client dinner in the evening. The steps are on our product launch event page.
  • Seated dinners and client evenings, from a private salon to a ballroom, covered on our gala dinner planner page.
  • Pop-up stores and boutique openings on the rue du Rhône and in the Old Town.
  • Window displays and installations, built to the drawings of your studio.
  • Exhibitions of savoir-faire: a single showing, or the Geneva stop of a touring exhibition.
  • Evenings and seminars for your teams and partners, described on our corporate event production studio page.

Venues: the quays, the Rhône and the lake

We choose the venue from the guest list and the object, and Geneva offers several kinds of setting.

  • The palace hotels on the quays, among them the Hôtel des Bergues on the Quai des Bergues, with salons and a ballroom facing the water.
  • Cultural venues such as the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices, a former hydraulic plant on the Rhône, for a concert followed by a seated dinner.
  • The restaurant in the Parc des Eaux-Vives, on the left bank, for a reception between garden and lake.
  • Palexpo, beside the airport, for stands and large audiences.
  • The lake itself, aboard the Lausanne, the boat the CGN offers for private hire, with up to 500 guests seated.

Geneva Airport sits next to Palexpo, about seven minutes by train from Cornavin station. Guests flying in for a launch reach their hotel on the quays within the half-hour, and our crews reach the exhibition halls in minutes.

Our standards in Geneva, from brief to debrief

At the brief, we listen and send back our understanding of the project in writing. During feasibility and costing, we visit the venue with you, draw the technical plan and price each line. Preparation and delivery cover suppliers, permits from the venue and the city, the build and show control. At the wrap-up you receive the closed budget, the feedback and the archives.

For a large launch, a full team works for you: project, creative, production and operations, each with its lead, and one voice for the Maison. For a dinner of a few dozen guests, a single lead holds project, production and technical, and more of the budget goes to the table.

We call first on artisans from Geneva and French-speaking Switzerland: joiners, metalworkers, lighting designers, upholsterers. Short distances mean fewer lorries on the road and the same local crews from build to strike. We apply the principles of ISO 20121 on each project, and each one closes with a CSR report set against your Maison's own indicators.

When everything is right, the eye goes straight to the object.

Confidentiality in a small city

Geneva is a small city, and its watch world smaller still. We sign a non-disclosure agreement before anyone on our side sees the project, and images of a build or an event leave our hands only with your written consent.

Pieces move under supervision with joint inventories and stay in locked premises in our warehouses. At the end of the mission, we return the documents to you or destroy them. Our references give a sector, a city, a format and a guest count, and leave the Maison unnamed.

Frequently asked questions

Can you produce our stand or hospitality at Watches and Wonders?

Yes, on the stand and around it: evenings, hospitality, press and client set-ups. For a presentation in town the same week, we scout the venue, build the set and organise guest transfers between Palexpo and the city.

How early should we plan an event during Watches and Wonders week?

Call us the day your dates are set. Palexpo works with its own delivery slots and access rules, and hotels in town book up for the whole week. We visit venues with you, then send a technical plan and an itemised budget while the options are still open.

Where can a Maison hold a client dinner in Geneva?

In a salon or ballroom of a palace hotel on the quays, in a cultural venue such as the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices, at the restaurant in the Parc des Eaux-Vives, or aboard the CGN's boat Lausanne. We suggest two or three, each with a site visit and a costed plan.

Can you store our sets in Geneva between events?

Yes. Pelichet Expositions stores sets, display cases and sensitive pieces in Geneva between seasons, under supervision, with joint inventories and locked premises. Sets designed for several lives come out again for the next opening, in Geneva or on tour.

Do you also work outside Geneva?

Yes, from the same warehouses. Our event production studio in Paris and corporate events Dubai pages cover the two other cities, and we follow Maisons to Gstaad, St Moritz and Crans-Montana in season.

What goes into the budget for a Geneva event?

Each item on its own line: venue, set, light and sound, crews, transport from our warehouses, catering and staff. The budget follows the site visit and the technical plan, and we flag any choice that moves the total while there is still room to decide.

Discretion is part of how we work, from the first exchange.
