Exhibition production company: your Maison's craft, shown up close
An exhibition lets a Maison show what visitors rarely see: the workshop gesture, the tool, the archive piece brought out of the safe. As an exhibition production company, Luxury by the Lake builds the visit your studio has imagined, from feasibility study to strike, in Geneva, Paris, Dubai and every city the exhibition travels to. You set the story and the design; we produce. Behind us stand two partners: Pelichet Expositions in Geneva, and a production studio in Paris.

Exhibition production, from drawing to visit
Your studio or your creative direction draws the exhibition, and we build it exactly as drawn. When you would like to hand over the design too, scenographers, art directors and set dressers from our network join the team, under one project lead.
From the drawing, we produce a technical plan: walls, display cases, the route through the rooms, the light on each piece, screens and sound. Joiners, metalworkers and lighting designers then make the sets and cases to the size of your objects. Screens, projection and sound are drawn with the set from the first plan, so that the visitor sees the piece first.
A craftsman at work in front of visitors, a reconstructed workbench, a display case that comes to life: each of these calls for interactive and automated elements and careful audiovisual integration. We coordinate them with every other trade and test them before the doors open.
The set is where the object is seen, approached, understood.
Exhibition design agency, or production alone
The work divides in two, and you choose where we come in. When your studio designs, we act as the production team: technical plan, itemised budget, build, transport, installation and on-site management. When your Maison asks for the design as well, we work as an exhibition design agency through the scenographers of our network, with the same lead and the same point of contact from brief to debrief.
Our Luxury by the Lake page introduces the two partners behind the team.
Temporary exhibition, travelling exhibition, local edition
A craft exhibition takes one of three forms:
- The temporary exhibition, for a single date or a few days, in a hired venue, a boutique or a private salon.
- The travelling exhibition, where the same visit moves from city to city with its sets, its display cases and its crews.
- The local edition, where an existing exhibition adapts to a new venue, its floor area and its audience.
In each city, we rework the technical plan for the venue: access, floor loading, power, build hours. The team and your point of contact stay the same from one stop to the next. When the exhibition accompanies a new piece, our product launch event page covers launch formats.
Collection pieces, from the safe to the case
An exhibition moves rare pieces: archives, prototypes, collection pieces, workshop tools. Pelichet Expositions ships them, clears them through customs and stores them between stops; we arrange their insurance. We draw up a joint inventory at every move, keep the premises locked and supervise every handling, from the departure in Geneva to the display case.
Pelichet Expositions, heir to the Pelichet know-how of a Geneva house founded in 1891, works from Geneva; through its subsidiary ExpoLog Geneva, it is the official and exclusive logistics provider of Palexpo, where Watches and Wonders is held.
Exhibitions in Paris, Geneva and Dubai
In Paris, the Grand Palais, reopened in 2025, hires out its spaces for exhibitions, and the Carreau du Temple in the Marais offers a hall of 1,800 m². Our Paris team handles build, permits and welcome there; see our event production studio in Paris page.
In Geneva, our crews and warehouses are on hand, and Palexpo sits next to the airport; see our luxury event planner Geneva page. In Dubai, Alserkal Avenue gathers more than 70 galleries in former warehouses in Al Quoz, the Dubai Design District (d3) is home to design and fashion, and Dubai Customs accepts the ATA carnet for the temporary admission of pieces; see our corporate events Dubai page.
Our standards, from brief to debrief
- Brief: what the exhibition tells, and which cities it will travel to. We listen, then play it back to you in our own words.
- Feasibility and costing: site visits, technical plan, itemised budget with a CSR section.
- Preparation and delivery: suppliers, build, transport of the pieces, permits, installation, on-site management.
- Wrap-up: budget closed, feedback gathered, archives handed to the Maison.
A small exhibition suits a single lead who holds project, production and technical. A tour across several cities calls for the full team: project, creative, production and operations, each with its lead, and one voice for the Maison. We apply the principles of ISO 20121: we decide how each set will end its life when we draw it, hire rather than build where we can, and store sets designed for several stops with Pelichet Expositions. For a tour, we favour craftsmen from Geneva and French-speaking Switzerland, and the train for our crews. Each exhibition closes with a CSR report built on your Maison's indicators.
Frequently asked questions
Can you build the scenography our studio has drawn?
Yes, exactly as drawn. At the feasibility stage we flag anything that calls for a decision, whether a material, a load, the lighting or a lead time, and the decision stays with your Maison.
Can an exhibition go on tour?
Yes. We then design the sets and cases to travel and be reassembled, adapt the technical plan to each venue, and Pelichet Expositions ships and stores everything between stops.
How do collection pieces travel?
With Pelichet Expositions, which ships them and clears them through customs; we arrange their insurance. Every move happens under a joint inventory and supervision, and the pieces wait for the opening in locked premises.
Can you find the venue?
Yes. We scout with you from the city, the dates, the floor area and the audience you expect, then check access, floor loading, power and permits before adding the venue to the itemised budget.
Can our craftsmen work in the exhibition?
Yes, when your Maison wishes it. We prepare their workstation, the lighting, the security of tools and pieces, and the demonstration times with your team.
Who keeps the photographs and films?
Your Maison. We can arrange photography and filming, and no image of the build or the exhibition leaves without your written consent. At the end of the project, we hand over the archives and return or destroy our working documents.
